A retro gaming tent will be created so that classic games can be played again in a tactile way. In this
space, which has been inspired by the 80’s/90’s, the focus is on pure enjoyment of gaming through social
interaction with other gamers and the nostalgia associated with these videogames.
This is a gathering place for fun and memories where people of all ages could relive their
experience with early consoles or pixelated worlds.
The retro gaming tent will also provide an opportunity for attendees to reunite and build
friendships and relive the gaming experience in the heart of the festival.

Is it free to play? Do I need to pay to access the retro gaming zone?
Yes — entry to the Retro Gaming Tent is completely free. No ticket, wristband, or purchase required. Just walk in, pick up a controller, and start playing. Tournaments are also free to enter, though spots are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis on the day.

Do I need to register in advance or can I just show up?
No registration needed for general play — just show up and jump in. If you want to compete in the daily tournament, you'll need to add your name to the sign-up sheet at the tent entrance when it opens. Tournament slots typically fill within the first hour, so arriving early is strongly recommended.

Can I bring my own cartridges or retro consoles?
Yes — we actively encourage it. If you own an original cartridge (not a reproduction) in working condition, bring it along and our team will test it before connecting it to the relevant console. Approved cartridges get added to the day's active lineup, and we'll display your name on the board as the contributor. Consoles are accepted case-by-case — speak to a crew member at the door.

Are there any age restrictions?
No age restrictions for the Retro Gaming Tent itself — it's all-ages, all-welcome. A few game titles on the lineup carry original age ratings (M or MA15+), and we ask that parents use their discretion. Kids under 10 are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult while inside the tent.

Are there rewards or prizes for high scores?
Daily tournament winners receive a physical trophy (yes, a real one), a certificate of achievement, and their name added to our all-time leaderboard displayed at the tent. We also run spontaneous “beat this score” challenges throughout the day with small prizes — stickers, patches, and occasional gaming memorabilia — for anyone who hits the target.
